Congratulations to our Hip-Hop Company members who received 1st PLACE and the prestigious TOP FIVE award at the Primetime Dance Competition in Los Angeles! We are so proud of their dance "Fly High"!!!!! Dancers include Academy of Music and Dance in pasadena students: Rebekah Denegal, Desiree Yan, Santiago Alcantara, Flore Lawerence, Carly Muir, Lara Emmons. Graduating student, Desiree Yan also won 2nd PLACE with her beautiful lyrical solo, choreographed by Victoria Brown, "Wild Horses". Congratulations! We are so proud!!!!!!!

Competition Team
The Academy of Music and Dance Competition Team holds Auditions Each Summer for the following year’s team. This Year’s audition will be held in September 2009. Competition dancers enjoy a unique opportunity to travel to regional dance competitions as well as multiple dance conventions and festivals. We offer ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, and hip-hop company for dancer’s ages who are interested in only one or all styles of dance.
These categories give all of our dancers the opportunity to train, compete, and perform! Dancers can audition for one team only, or for them all!
If your child LOVES to dance, them give them a chance to SHINE!

Goal of the Contemporary Pasadena Dance Company:
• Provide superior teaching and choreographic mentorship in the studio, stage, and other performance arenas by quality personnel with expertise in their areas of teaching.
• Enhance the cultural and aesthetic experience of Pasadena and LA through quality productions, leadership, and service learning.
• Promote the exploration of other dance communities nationally and internationally through participation in competitions, festivals, and conference attendance.
